STAFFORD HILL RIESLING WILLAMETTE VALLEY 2007, Oregon
"It cannot be said too often that Oregon's best dry white wine is neither chardonnay nor pinot gris. If you want to taste the state's best wine accomplishments, then you want to try Riesling. Holloran's winemaker, Jay Somers, better known for his J. Christopher label has a deft touch with the Riesling grape." - Matt Kramer, The Oregonian.

This is a lovely dry Riesling showing loads of lemon/lime and peach fruit and a very attractive mineral edge. Brisk and very refreshing and delicious by itself or with food. Great with fish, creamy cheeses, and turkey.
STEELE ZINFANDEL SHOOTING STAR MENDOCINO 2007, California
Jed Steele, the winemaker and owner of Steele Wines, founded Steele and Shooting Star Wines (his second label) in 1991. Mr. Steele has a solid track record of experience at quality California wineries. Before launching Steele, Jed was founding winemaker, general manager, and VP of Production at Kendall Jackson for its first nine vintages, and he was winemaker and vineyard manager at Edmeades in Mendocino County's Anderson Valley when it was a small, independent winery.

"This wine has aromas of raspberry and other ripe black fruit, butter, and just a hint of cinnamon and nutmeg. The tannins and acids in this wine are soft but distinct. Cedar tones with just a hint of plum make the finish a wonderful explanation point."

FINCA TORREMILANOS MONTECASTRILLO ROSADO 2008, Spain
Produced from 100% Tempranillo grapes from 15 year old vines. The grapes are harvested relatively early in the season with the intent of producing a fresh wine with a moderate level of alcohol, so the wine is inviting and lively on the palate. The grapes are harvested and left with the skins for only 1 hour prior to pressing and maintain a bright fruity character. Delicious on a hot summer day, on a picnic or sipping from the hammock! - IWC 88 Pts
RABBIT RIDGE ALLURE DE ROBLES 2007, California
"Our vineyards in Paso Robles are in the ideal climate and soil conditions for Rhone varietal wines. Allure de Robles is an estate grown wine that is produced in Chateau Neuf du Pape style. This wine is primarily a blend of Petite Sirah, Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvedre. This wine is medium bodied with strawberry and cherry overtones from the Grenache, body from the Syrah and earthiness from the Mourvedre. Our Allure de Robles is a great choice for sipping or with a wide variety of foods." -Winery notes
CRUCERO CHARDONNAY 2009, Chile
Crucero Chardonnay is richer in style with full-bodied texture and tropical fruit flavors. Attractive yellow color with some green tones. Its intense varietal character evokes ripe citrus fruits, with floral and honeyed tones along with well integrated wood. In the mouth it is rich, round and fruity with some creamy notes. Great to serve with salmon, roast chicken and creamy pasta dishes. A real crowd pleaser.
TERRAI TEMPRANILLO 2008, Spain
A spicy red, with hints of sandalwood and smoke to the black cherry fruit flavor. Tangy and clean, with a lingering black pepper finish. Drink now
ADEGA COOP FUZELO VINHO VERDE NV, Portugal
This wine has a light citris color, with a delicate fruit aroma and a slight fizz. I has a soft minerally with fresh taste. Recommended as an accompaniment to fish courses, shellfish and white meats. Perfect for a hot summer day on the deck/beach/wherever! Wine Spectator 90 Pts
GOUGUENHEIM VALLE ESCONDIDO MALBEC 2009, Argentina
Gouguenheim Malbec, chosen to represent autumn, is rich, bold, and concentrated red with ample plum, black cherry, blackcurrant, chocolate, and violet notes. The finish is round, lengthy, and satisfying.
MARLENA TORRONTES 2009, Argentina
A finewine.com exclusive! Torrontes is the most distinctive of all Argentine wines. It is considered a wholly Argentine variety. Enticing aromas that are strikingly similar to Viognier, with hints of peach pit, flowers, and orange citrus fruit. On the palate, it has a beautiful structure and acidity along with enticing fruit flavors that keep you coming back for another sip and plenty of body for a wine that shows such delicate aromas and flavors. Fruity, floral and yet still quite dry, this wine has to be tasted to be believed.
MEREDITH FAMILY VINEYARDS CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2004, California
The King of the vineyard yields 2.5 to 3.5 tons/acre and is the last to be harvested. Commonly it hangs into November and hangs till the acid and sugars balance. Three years in American and French barrels soften and complex this great wine into the signature wine of the vineyard. Small berries, sun, and cool nights bring out the black pepper and cherry. Fifteen percent Merlot is blended in to fill out the middle and it is ready drink.
DOM DE MENARD HAUT CUVEE MARINE 2009, France
The grapes in this value wine are mainly Columbard and Ugni Blanc (a.k.a Trebbiano). The citrus notes and crisp acidity make this wine a great hot weather aperitif; a refreshing wine for those particularly scorching summer days. Quaff this on the deck or pair it with summer salads and light grilled fare.
