ORSOLANI CUVÉE TRADIZIONE 2007, ITALY
Made in the same way as a Brut Champagne, the Cuvée Tradizione is a high quality sparkling wine hand-crafted by very expert labor, including remuage, or hand turning of the bottles to settle yeast in the neck. It presents a very elegant pale yellow with fine perlage. The nose has intense fragrance of dried aromatic herbs, with slight notes of bread and mint. On the palate, it is full-bodied with a pleasant citrus finish. Delicious as an aperitif; better throughout the meal, with fish dishes and delicate menu.
Orsolani crafts the Cuvée Tradizione only in vintages that develop the best fruit. The wine takes four years to complete before release.

The color comes from 12% meunier that is vinified red, from an old-vine plot that gets quite ripe. It is a very pretty tarnished pink color and has a lazy bead from over five years of ageing on the lees. It has gorgeous red cherry fruit on the nose and mid palate, but still finishes snappy and dry.
