MONTEBUENA RIOJA 2010, SPAIN
Produced from 100% Tempranillo grapes, which are hand harvested from the Montebuena vineyard. Brilliant deep ruby red color, fruity aromas. Montebuena Red has a spicy vanilla bouquet and is smooth and fruity in the mouth with some well-integrated secondary nuances, full-flavored and a persistent pleasant finish. Pairs well with beef & lamb dishes, stews & cheeses.
"100% tempranillo, raised entirely in American oak--Vivid ruby. Ripe cherry and blackcurrant on the nose and in the mouth. Pliant and seamless in texture, with good heft and back-end energy. Finishes smooth and sweet, with fine-grained tannins providing shape and grip. Still on the young side but this wine drinks very well with an hour or so of decanting; it's an excellent value for Rioja."

COLTIBUONO CHIANTI CLASSICO 'RS' 2010 375ML HALF BOTTLE, ITALY
The 2010 Chianti Classico RS is a major step up from the straight Chiantis in this lineup. Dark red cherries, flowers, tobacco, licorice and mint burst from the glass in this vivacious, expressive wine. I very much like the sense of overall balance and harmony.

BODEGAS BRECA GARNARCHA DE FUEGO OLD VINES 2011, SPAIN
The 2011 Garnacha de Fuego, a 100% Grenache cuvee, was aged in both stainless steel and neutral French oak. There are 10,000 cases for the United States. This amazing wine boasts a dark ruby/purple color along with a sweet kiss of jammy black cherries intertwined with crushed rock notes that give the wine an undeniable minerality. As it hits the palate, a full-bodied, voluptuous texture takes hold and the flavor profile moves towards blacker fruits (ripe raspberries and black currants) intermixed with camphor and forest floor. This full-bodied, rich, glycerin-filled effort should drink well for 4-5 years, perhaps longer.

UVAGGIO VERMENTINO 2011, CALIFORNIA
This is an incredibly priced, low-alcohol sipper that's also complex enough to pair with a range of lighter foods. Its aromas of apricot and sweet peach are most inviting, and the wine also has a saltiness layered around its acidity that hits in the midpalate and then finishes dry. A complex, medium-bodied, layered white that tastes of the sea.
"Made from a hard-to-find variety in California, this bright, beautifully aromatic wine expresses gorgeous scents of jasmine that follow through in flavor to the finish. Its layers of lime, apple and a generous level of minerality are perfectly executed and waiting for seafood."

VINA EGUIA RIOJA CRIANZA 2008, SPAIN
"I was immensely impressed by the two wines that I tasted from
Bodegas Eguia, located in the Alavesa subregion in the village of Elciego. The company was founded in 1982 by Julian Murua,
who resurrected his fathers winery, which had been established
in the 1920s. They both represent outstanding value." - Robert Parker
"The 2008 Vina Eguia Crianza is aged in American oak for 12
months. It offers a crisp, natural bouquet of dark berries, burnt toast and singed leather. The palate is very well balanced, with lithe tannins that caress the mouth. The oak is seamlessly integrated towards the lingering, supple finish. This is a very wellcrafted, natural Rioja."

Spy Valleys 2011 Sauvignon Blanc is intensely scented of freshly chopped herbs, lime zest and kumquat with hints of lemon tart and gooseberry. Medium bodied, it offers a very good concentration of citrus and herbal flavors with great balance and a long refreshing finish. Drinking now, it should keep to 2014.

NORTH BY NORTHWEST RIESLING 2011, WASHINGTON
Golden straw in color with aromas of peach, jasmine, clover, paper whites, and graham cracker. The flavors consist of apricot, mango, lychee, lemon meringue, and citrus. On the palate it is crisp, round, long finish, balanced with dry acidity.
"Quite tart and bone dry, this is made from fruit sourced from the Wallula Benches Vineyarda site also prominently featured in Pacific Rims Riesling lineup. Racy and gin-like in its flavor profile, it emphasizes botanical and citrus notes, with good penetration and length."
