CRISTALINO CAVA BRUT N/V, SPAIN
"What more could you want in a budget-priced sparkler? No, it's not hugely complex, but it's fresh and lively, with lime and herb aromas, tart green apple flavors and a zippy finish. Simple, but bouncy and clean." Cristalino Cava Brut is a sparkling wine from Spain, made from the grape varietals Macabeo 50%, Parellada 35% and Xarello 15%. Produced by Jaume Serra, this lovely sparkler offers a fine alternative to Champagne at less than half the price. Wine and Spirits 90 Points - IWC 88 Pts - Wine Enthusiast 90 Pts    $ 9.99

BODEGAS SABOR REAL JOVEN 2006, TORO, SPAIN
The 2006 Toro was aged in French and American oak, 50% new. Purple colored, it has an excellent, slightly roasted perfume with notes of wood smoke, scorched earth, espresso, and blackberry. Full-bodied, fat, and well-endowed on the palate, the wine has gobs of spicy, forward fruit, excellent balance, and enough structure to last for another 8 years. It is a spectacular value in Toro that totally over-delivers for its bargain basement price. This is one to buy by the case.

The Bodegas was started in 2003 and all of the wines are produced from estate owned Tinta de Toro vines, most of them over 80 years of age. - Wine Advocate 90 Pts    ON SALE - $ 11.98

HENRY'S DRIVE PILLAR BOX RED 2007, AUSTRALIA
There's a reason the critics love this wine so much year in and year out and that can be summed up in the work "drinkability." "Purple-colored, it exhibits an expressive nose of spice box, earth notes, blueberry and black currant. Ripe, sweet and layered, this nicely rendered red has exceptional balance and length for its humble price." This blend of 65% Shiraz, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot, aged in both French and American oak, offers gobs of rich berry fruit, ample acidity and lots and lots of bang for the incredibly small amount of buck. Drink this awesome value over the next 2-3 years. Pillar Box has a powerful pedigree; fruit sourced from Henry's Drive and winemaking consultation from the renowned Chris Ringland. - Wine Advocate 90 Pts    ON SALE - $ 11.98

DOM DE COUSSERGUES CHARDONNAY 2008, FRANCE
The dry, primarily tank-aged 2008 Chardonnay reveals more honeysuckle and tropical fruit notes in its elegant, medium-bodied personality. All four of these offerings are crisp, fresh, lively, aromatic whites that are best consumed over the next 6-12 months. - Wine Advocate 87 Pts    $ 11.99

MERCEDES EGUREN SHIRAZ TEMPRANILLO 2006, SPAIN
Bright ruby. Peppery redcurrant and cherry aromas are complicated by whiffs of funky smoked meat and cracked pepper. Deeper dark berry flavors are firmed by dusty tannins and become sweeter with air. Finishes with good focus and a repeating dark berry note. This would be nice with a hunk of grilled lamb.
Stephen Tanzer, IWC - IWC 88 Pts    $ 11.99

LA CREMA CHARDONNAY SONOMA 2007 375ml, CALIFORNIA

Wine Advocate 90 Pts

Deep, bright red. Fresh red berry and baking spice aromas are strikingly brisk and focused. Racy, light-bodied raspberry and cherry flavors are unencumbered by tannins but nicely framed by juicy acidity. Pinot-like in its vivacious, red-fruit expression and firm finishing cut. This is really delicious. - IWC 90 Pts    ON SALE - $ 13.98

Wine Enthusiast rated #8 of Top 100 Best Buys of 2008
A brilliant straw-yellow colour, with a fresh bouquet, and light touches of grass typical of the Verdejo variety, perfectly blended with the tropical notes that are more typical of the Viura variety. In the mouth it is fresh, with a very tasty palate and a full variety of fruits. - Wine Enthusiast 90 Pts    $ 13.99

EL ARTE DE VIVIR RIBERA DEL DUERO 2008, SPAIN
