CRISTALINO CAVA BRUT N/V, SPAIN
"What more could you want in a budget-priced sparkler? No, it's not hugely complex, but it's fresh and lively, with lime and herb aromas, tart green apple flavors and a zippy finish. Simple, but bouncy and clean." Cristalino Cava Brut is a sparkling wine from Spain, made from the grape varietals Macabeo 50%, Parellada 35% and Xarello 15%. Produced by Jaume Serra, this lovely sparkler offers a fine alternative to Champagne at less than half the price. Wine and Spirits 90 Points - IWC 88 Pts - Wine Enthusiast 90 Pts    $ 9.99

DOM DE MARTINOLLES LE BERCEAU BLANQUETTE DE LIMOUX N/V, FRANCE
The Vergnes limit their yields in the vineyard to 40 hectoliters per hectare. Harvesting is done by hand and the Blanquette de Limoux is kept two years on the lees before being disgorged. "Le Berceau" is produced from the Mauzac grape, a traditional grape of this region and is produced using the Methode Traditionnelle (Champenoise).

"Very distinctive. Elegant and delicate in style, with a beautifully creamy effervescence and subtle, dry flavors of melon and spice." -Wine Spectator    ON SALE - $ 12.98

1+1=3 CAVA BRUT NV, SPAIN
Made as a joint project between two partners, this is their "third" wine; hence 1+1=3. Delicate and fresh with a fine texture, this is a step above the sea of mediocre Cava typically available.    ON SALE - $ 14.98

DOM DE MARTINOLLES BRUT ROSE N/V, FRANCE
Martinolles Cremant De Limoux Rose is a blend of Pinot Noir, Chenin Blanc, and Chardonnay. A lot of sheer fun is delivered by this rose sparkler especially at this price. First, the color - it's a lovely rose color with strawberry highlights. Then the exuberant nose is loaded with ripe wild strawberry fruit plus a touch of herb. Then an explosion in the mouth - strawberry fruit packed into a round, generously textured wine that has just the right level of acidity to stay both refreshing and easy to drink. Basically, it's a party in your mouth. Grab a bottle, chill it down, and enjoy!    $ 16.99

Guess what President and Michelle Obama were drinking at the last State Dinner at the White House, You guessed it-THIBAUT JANISSON BLANC DE CHARDONNAY! You, too, can drink the Presidential Champagne.

"The Thibaut- Janisson Blanc de Chardonnay is a joy to drink -- delicate, sophisticated. It's elegant and suave, with minerality and subtle notes of apple, white peach and yeast - serious sparkling wine from a region not expected to produce it." - Jancis Robinson (International Wine Critic)

   ON SALE - $ 22.98

TSELEPOS AMALIA SPARKLING MOSCHOFILERO NV, GREECE
Tom Stevenson, author of World Encyclopedia of Champagne & Sparkling Wine, calls this the best sparkling wine made in Greece today. "This is an elegant sparkling wine with a light yellow-green color and elegant bubbles with intensity and duration. On the nose there are distinct aromas of roses and honey, with a touch of yeast in the background. The taste is particularly fresh and pleasant, with a long after-taste." -Winemaker's notes    ON SALE - $ 24.98

VESSELLE BRUT RESERVE BOUZY N/V 375ML, FRANCE
Light pink-tinged gold. Smoky, seductively perfumed nose displays strawberry, pear, Christmas spices and a hint of vanilla bean. Fresh red berry flavors are complemented by spice cake and smoky minerals, with good mineral snap. The silky finish is impressively energetic and long. This complex Champagne should be flexible with all sorts of lighter foods. - IWC 92 Pts    $ 24.99

R DUMONT BRUT N/V, FRANCE
This grower's Champagne is a blend of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay. Dumont Pere et Fils Brut shows from the beginning a strong fruity and mineral character. It has a voluptous, mouth-filling texture and aromas of kumquat, green apple, biscuit and hazlenuts and would be delicious with a meal. It is very dry, straw yellow and has a nice but not outstanding perlage. At the palate the wine is fresh and has notes of citrus and green apple first and apricot later. The finish is smooth with notes of green melon and honey. This wine can be enjoyed with a wide range of dishes. As a classic pair I can mention seafood tarts, olive pastries, nuts and fruit appetizers. You can enjoy this good Champagne also with creamy pasta dishes. Try it with Pasta with mushroom cream and shaved asparagus. Plenty of flavor in this stunning N.V.    ON SALE - $ 34.98

TAITTINGER BRUT LA FRANCAIS NV, FRANCE
This Champagne is a blend of some 30 Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vineyards, respectively 40% and 60% of the total, from several harvests of perfectly ripened grapes.

"Crisp aromas of green apple, wheat and minerals. Fresh, creamy flavors of apple and toasted bread with hints of red fruit. Classy finish." -Wine News 91 Pts - Wine Advocate 90 Pts - Wine Enthusiast 91 Pts    ON SALE - $ 39.98

THIERRY TRIOLET LES VIELLES VIGNES BRUT 2004, FRANCE
Thierry Triolet farms 25 acres of vineyards in the village of Béthon. The region, dominated by the Le Brun de Neuville cooperative, has long been a source of distinctly flavored Chardonnay for the large, négociant houses to the north. Triolet is one of a growing number of growers who are bottling their own Champagnes. His farming is guided by the principles of "lutte raisonnée," a movement that advocates organic growing, and minimal intervention in the vineyard and winery. Fermentations take place with natural, indigenous yeasts. This is an amazingly rich and complex style Champagne. A rich golden color, spectacular aromas of toasty, roasted nuts and satisfying long and rich finish define this wine. Fans of yeasty, full-bodied Champagnes are in for a treat from this fine Estate Champagne.    ON SALE - $ 39.98
