MEREDITH FAMILY VYDS BARREL SELECT CHARDONNAY 2006, CALIFORNIA
If you like that old-style California Chardonnay that is really tasty with that rich buttery finish that California became famous for, then you'll really love this wine. The richness and flavor come from the grapes of the Historic Olsen Homestead vineyard and from the passionate style of wine making.

It was pressed gently with a membrane press and placed in new American oak with four different levels of toasting on the wood barrels to add richness. The wine was fermented on its lees (grape seeds, stems, skins) and stirred from time to time. Keeping the wine on the lees imparts extra flavor and body. It was then allowed to complete malolactic fermentation to broaden the mouth feel. The result is a rich, delicious California Chardonnay that will stand up well to roast chicken, crab cakes and salmon. It drinks great on it's own as well.
   ON SALE - $ 12.98

MEREDITH FAMILY VINEYARDS HOMESTEAD RED NV, CALIFORNIA
This wine is made in the rich tradition of French Bordeaux with a very similar blend of grapes. Grown on the Meredith Family Vineyards in the Historic Olsen Homestead, it was bottled in early January 2009 and it concists of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc.

This smooth and fruity California Cabernet blend spent 22 months in American and French oak before select barrels were combined to create this delicious red wine with balanced, pleasant tannins, a vanilla nose and smooth complex finish. It is very well-structured and has a lot going on in terms of balance, fruit, and smooth finish. We really like this wine and think it is a fantantic value. It is unusually rich for the price point! A steal if you like California Cab!
   ON SALE - $ 12.98

BREAUX CHÈRE MARIE VIDAL BLANC 2007, VIRGINIA
Refreshing, well-balanced & off dry. Intoxicating aromas of green apple and melon abound, with a flavor explosion highly suggestive of fresh picked apricot, emphatically ending with a crisp, zesty finish. Made from the French-American hybrid grape Vidal Blanc.    $ 13.99

St. Michaels Winery Long Splice perfectly combines Seyval - a French-American hybrid - with Chardonnay grapes, all lovingly grown in our vineyard near St. Michaels. ST. MICHAELS WINERY VIOGNIER 2007, MARYLAND
St. Michaels Winery Viognier melts on the tongue with sumptuous, flowery notes of lavender and orange blossoms, at once herbaceous and grassy, buttery and crisp. This once-rare wine is making a comeback, with over 2,000 California acres planted to the grape, up from just 30 French acres in 1960. Viognier is still hard to come by, and a treat once you find it. Pairs well with steak, Asian or Indian food, or pork tenderloin in Dijon mustard sauce.    $ 13.99

BREAUX NEBBIOLO ICE 2008, VIRGINIA
Bursting with flavor! The grapes were plucked from the frosty vines on the final morning of the '08 harvest. Made with 100% Nebbiolo - the first late harvest wine ever to be made with this varietal. Flavors of watermelon abound.    ON SALE - $ 18.98

HOLLORAN PINOT NOIR WILLAMETTE VALLEY 2007, OREGON
We just got our allocation of the wonderful, Holloran Pinot Noir 2007 of a wine that tastes like $40 but sells for just $19.98. Bill Holloran's winemaker is Jay Somers, better known for his culty J Christopher label has made a great wine. The lean 2007 vintage makes this more like a French Burgundy than the riper 2006 more fruity wine. The 2007 shows an aroma of beautiful strawberry and cherry and earth that lead to full red fruit and exotic spices on the palate. The tannins are light and the finish long, lingering, and full of lively fruit and spice. This will drink really well right now but has the depth of fruit and balance to develop for 3-4 years.    ON SALE - $ 19.98

HOLLORAN RIESLING LE PAVILLON DUNDEE HILLS 2008, OREGON
Calling all Riesling lovers. If you haven't tried Oregon Riesling you don't know what you're missing and this is a great example of it at its best. This single vineyard Riesling shows off glorious aromas of tangerine, ginger, and cantaoupe that unfold on the palate. This wine expresses great focus with mouthwatering vibrancy of fruit and delicate sweetness with refreshing acidity. It is highly aromatic with delicate floral undertones of citrus and spice on the nose. On the palate it has wonderful citrus and tropical nuances. It picks up a noticeable "minerality" from its native soils explaining it delicious yet unique flavors.    ON SALE - $ 19.98

SPANN VINEYARDS MOURVEDRE 2007, CALIFORNIA
Mourvèdre is one of our favorite grape varieties which we use to give raspberry aromas and flavors and a rich, full mouth-feel to our Mo Zin. The Mourvèdre from the silvaspoon Vineyard in Lodi was so exceptional in 2007 that we decided to blend it with some Sonoma valley Syrah to make this special bottling of just 210 cases. This is great with salmon, pork (especially tenderloins) or grilled chicken - Winery Notes    ON SALE - $ 19.98
