LUCIGNANO CHIANTI COLLI FIORENTINI 2007, ITALY
"Every vintage, this wine gets my nod as the most consistently successful inexpensive Chianti produced in Tuscany." - Robert Parker

This is one of the best Chianti's you will come across at this price. And to make it even more special, it's from one of the best Tuscan vintages. This is one of our personal favorites and a wine we drink at home on a regular basis. It is made from 80% Sangiovese, 10% Canaiolo and 10% Altri a Bacca Rossa from the stellar 2007 vintage. It has medium intensity with ruby red color. The nose on this wine is intense, overflowing with fruity aromas of black cherry and violets. Great flavors and medium bodied on the palate balancing fine tannins with moderate acidity. An ideal accompaniment to pasta dishes and medium aged cheese. A finewine.com favorite!

THIBAUT-JANISSON FIZZ SPARKLING WINE, VIRGINIA
Like Prosecco, Fizz is less, well, fizzy than Champagne with a creamier, softer, texture. PRAXIS MERLOT MONTEREY 2007, CALIFORNIA
The grapes for this wine come from a vineyard on a rise in the heart of Alexander Valley, the same vineyard that garnered our 2004 Merlot the title of Best American Merlot Under $20 in Food & Wine Magazine (October, 2007) and praise for our 2006 Merlot as Merlot before it was mass produced&lip-smacking velvety, with a little complexity and guts. Woodbury Magazine (Fall 2009) The color is a deep red with purple highlights. The nose offers vanilla, black cherry and plum, with warm spices and dry herbs. The wine is sleek and elegant with good acidity and full mouthfeel. Flavors of strawberry, blackberry, pomegrante and cassis are complemented by vanilla and spice. LA CAPPUCCINA CAMPO BURI CARMENERE OSELETA 2006, ITALY

KLJ CELLARS PINOT NOIR SANTA BARBARA 2008, CALIFORNIA
The KLJ Cellars Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir is a best-of-Santa Barbara wine. The former winemaker at William James winery, Jim Porter, has started this new venture- KLJ Cellars. We are really excited to have Jim's wines back on our shelves. When it comes to Pinot Noir, Jim applies Burgundian winemaking techniques. The key to his winemaking is the "intuitive" approach of understanding when to step back and not to over manipulate the wine. The goal is to allow the wine to develop its own depth and distinctive characteristics. The 2007 Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir has a brilliant garnet color and aromas of berries and vanilla. The palate is full and sensual with ripe raspberry and strawberry, elegantly balanced with vanilla. The mouth boasts creamy, supple texture and opulent fruit, fused with smooth but bright flavors on the finish.    ON SALE - $ 19.98

TRUTH LINDSEY'S CUVEE 2006, CALIFORNIA
The 2006 Truth Lindsey's Cuvee has beautiful, ripe, spicy dark currant and berry aromas, with a trace of pepper. On the palate, the wine's focused acidity conveys an overall impression of incredibly silky, sweetly ripe fruit. There is some size here, but the wine's fruit is an excellent framework off of which everything else is supported. The tannins are substantial but soft, and there's quality evident of a wine costing two or three times the price. Pair this mouthful of ripe Cab and Syrah fruit with steaks, burgers and red meat fare.    ON SALE - $ 21.98

FRANCOIS VILLARD VDP L'APPEL SYRAH 2007, FRANCE
