This 100% varietal wine comes from marquee vineyards along the Rutherford bench, where gravelley soils dominate. An Old World nose of cedar, tobacco and dried herb lead to a soft, supple core of sultry black cherry, blackberry and nutmeg, with a lingering taste of licorice adding complex intrigue to the integrated tannin and oak.
