Larry Ciolorito is a career Naval Officer and long-time aficionado of fine wine who chose to transition to a second career in the wine industry following his retirement from the Navy. Larry has worked at Finewine.com since September of 2016, but his passion for wine dates to 1983, when he and his wife first enjoyed a bottle of classified-growth Bordeaux during their honeymoon in Vermont. While largely an autodidact in the world of wine, Larry has tasted just as broadly as he has read, and can speak knowledgeably about a wide array of wines and wine regions. And while he retains his original love of the classic old-world wines of Europe, Larry’s favorite wine remains whatever distinctive, well-crafted elixir fills his glass at any particular moment.
